Solomon. The name spoken in reverent whispers and prayed to by the Sorrelli Wolves, is more than simply legend and lore. Centuries ago the wolf born of mortal dame and sire achieved his godhead through the strangest means. His tale passed down through diluted generations and his legacy forever etched into the dais erected in his name. Born many a year before the wolves of Sorrelli came to be, there was once an Isle that vanished during the Summer Solstice once every year. Teeming with magic the island could be viewed from the coastal points that surrounded it but very few could hope to survive the swim to its fabled shores. Those who could make the perilous journey to its beach could drink in the mystical energies that were so finely woven into the Isles foundation. And for those who stayed during the week of its banishment from the mortal realm, would return with strange powers to use at their disposal. One female, a former resident of the Isles illustrious pack underwent such a journey alone and burdened with pups. Banished from its fold due to a prophecy uttered by their Shaman who wove a tale of woe to befall the pack by the paws and power of the evil she was to bear. Immediately the wolves had turned on their own sending her into the wilds of their home battered and broken. The female was called Soriali, the packs own beta. Near death she collapsed on the shores of her home distantly letting the whispers of the ocean she would view for the last time lull her to sleep. It was then the Isle vanished from Sorrelli's shores and into what they had called Mageverse, where all elementals drew power. Before her demise she brought into the world a male pup who would never know his mother who took her last breath after he was conceived. Unlike those of his kind he was born with his eyes fully open, coherently perceiving the world but still unable to make sense of it. All he was certain of was that his mother, his only link to his heritage, had died. He survived three months without food to fatten him, no drink to quench his thirst and no warmth to chase away the chill of night - he didn't need it. Born in the Mageverse the whelp consumed the very magic that circulated around him, feasting on it with a gluttonous appetite and dining upon the magical realm of his birth. When the Isle returned to the Mortal plane he found it extremely disconcerting for although the land retained the magic, there was less of it and thus he would require physical sustenance if he was to survive. Too small to do this he followed the whispers on the wind that called him to the shores where his mother had once laid and watched the open waters forlornly until a patrol happened across him. One of the wolves among them was the father who would later betray him. Quinn, the mate to Soriali, couldn't bring himself to leave the whelp having stood aside while his family killed his mate he refused to be so cruel. He brought the whelp into the pack insisting that any pup his mate was to have would not have survived a week on its own and would not be as big as the one he brought for the whelp looked months older than he should. Accepting this logic the Isle pack named the pup Solomon and welcomed him. And for two short years there was harmony. During that years Summer Solstice Solomon found himself visited by the ghostly form of his mother. For that whole week Solomon was alone, learning of her past. What she didn't tell him was the prophecy that had condemned her. She had grieved but had waited for him to be strong before bestowing upon him her power for Solomon had inherited his father ability, the manipulation of the earth. His mother had been a wolf who danced the winds. returned to his home and was an immediate celebrity among his family for a wolf with clashing elements was unheard of. Naturally, he could not tell them that this was all due to his mothers sacrifice or they'd destroy him. He had become very fond of the Alpha's daughter, Twist, during this time but sadly she was destined for another male of their pack so he could not foster his feelings. But that did not stop him from simply being close to her. This secret would be well kept for the following four months until he began to have reoccurring dreams of all consuming fire that drove him to seek the comfort of the waves as his mother had during life. He was greatly perturbed when voices began to chant his name, imploring him to take on a quest. Greatly frightened by this he tried to ignore the pleas but they traveled on the winds or grumbled through the earth until finally he conceded to them. The waves asked that he fetch a sapphire stone and swallow it then jump into the oceans around his home. Believing this to be suicide he refused. The waves responded by flooding the Isle until he again gave into it. Mining out the blue gemstone he'd swallowed it and hurled himself into the sea that in turn swallowed him for three days and two nights before he washed up onto the shore. He found that in return he could manipulate the water around him. Storm Clouds gathered and threatened to destroy his home with hurricanes if he did not listen to them. They ordered him to the heights point of the Isle and struck him repeatedly with lightning. When he did not die from Heavens attacks they instilled their abilities within him. Exhilarated, he couldn't contain himself and ran to tell Quinn his fortune. However, this did not sit well with the aging male who relayed his sons secret to the Alphas who, in turn, struck out against Solomon. The adolescent was driven much like his dame away from them and would have died in the same fashion had Twist, the Alphas pride and joy not come to his aid. Together they remained on the Isle for three days while he healed and she kept the pack unaware of his life. When he was fit enough he forced himself to cross the ocean and to Sorrelli's shores where he then began a new life. It was here the elements of Noir - which called him into the night, and Yin the songs of the day bestowed upon him their gifts. He wielded unfathomable power for five long years, in which time he established his own pack but never took a mate. He would sit often on the shores and look across the tide to the Isles that he could not return to. Until one day he came to the beach and found his homelands were gone and it was the middle of Spring. Something was amiss but he dared not look for his family. It was not but a week later that the wolves of the Isle crawled onto Sorrelli's sandy coast saying how their home had been consumed by the Mageverse and they had been thrown off it. Kind-hearted Solomon could not refuse his family and for those who wished he made a space for them in his own pack. Those who would not follow him were given a slab of free territory to start anew. Twist unfortunately had mated her intended and could not leave her family for the love she found in Solomon. Distressed he would do his best to hamper his feelings and in doing so shut out the words of the earth, wind and water that berated him with tales of suspicion and betrayal for the Isle wolves old Alphas were not content with what had been freely given to them out of love and courtesy. No, they plotted and schemed those old canines did and gave Twist their blessing to do with her life as she pleased, revoking her mate as she had once pleaded. Unknowing of their plan Twist rushed to the side of Solomon who was overjoyed by their change of heart and thought nothing more for the concerns of the elements that still howled with dismay. As did Twist's former mate Wyrn. Twist had never given him pups but the following Spring to his horror she had Solomon's litter. The Alpha's visited their grandchildren with feigned happiness and pride. One evening Twist's parents insisted that they take a walk along the cliffs of their home and talk of possibly joining their packs. They were growing old and since their heir was already mated to an Alpha it seemed appropriate to bring both societies together. Solomon and Twist were overjoyed at this decision and rushed back home to bask in the glow of fortune. But their glee was short-lived for when they returned to their den the babysitters who had been stationed to guard their young laid dead and their litter gone. The scent of Isle wolves all over it - more importantly Wyrn and his cronies. Enraged the parents found the group as well as Twist's parents hurling a pup over the cliff-side one by one. Solomon begged them to spare his children and the Alphas ordered him to be executed and to renounce his title. When Solomon did not agree another of his cubs was thrown into the hungry waters below. Decimated he surrendered to them and was to be put to death. His pack was not going to allow this and waged full out war upon the traitors. In the midsts of their fighting, Twist was killed. When news of her death reached him, Solomon felt unimaginable pain accompanied swiftly by unfathomable fury. He had never once been so angry in his life, it burned his soul and incinerated anything that had once been of value to him. Fire, answered his ardent call and he destroyed anything in his path. He cut a swathe of blood and gore over Sorrelli territory and dyed the earth crimson and charred his forests until there was little more than ash and soot at his paws. His pack had been scattered during the fight, his pups likely dead and mate already in a realm yonder he left to the overhang where two of his offspring had been thrown into the lake below. He called the earth to widen the space and meticulously created a dais and pedestals. He then gathered objects that reminded him of the elements he wielded and made it so that no pup would ever be truly defenseless ever again. He spent a decade scouting out for three wolves who would become the gods of Sorrelli and act in his stead. He found them, Kydai the gentle, Wydarae the Gray and Risque the Shadow. By splitting his power he made them into Gods. With all this done Solomon tunneled beneath the Great Fields that would later be named Elusion Meadow and created a labyrinth for which he could be at peace forever. His body heavy with sorrow he grieved as he encased himself in an opal stone and died within his chosen coffin. His spirit free to join Twist he watches over Sorrelli's wonderous land praying for a peace he hadn't been given.
